| TMW strives to listen to our customers and respond to their needs. One thing we heard loud and clear is that you need more storage space. In response, we lengthened our facility by 20% when we built it in 2000. In 2002, we began locating some overflow finished goods to our original climate-controlled facility just 6 miles away. In 2003, we started sending overflow master coils to the Southern Illinois Transport Company (SITCO) climate-controlled storage facility next door to our main plant. This was done as transparently as possible to avoid extra work for you and your customers. Inventory turnover remains the key to providing adequate floor space. Discussion with new customers regarding our inventory turnover plan has led to comments like, “If I can’t turn my material at that rate, I must be doing something wrong!” or , “If it's that easy to avoid storage charges, then there’s no need to even discuss it.” Still, unforeseen events sometimes cause you to end up with excess inventory and lower turnover rates. To ensure we can continue to accommodate you in these situations without causing unnecessary delay of incoming shipments, TMW maintains a system whereby a storage charge is assessed based on annual turnover. This allows us to help customers who really need storage without affecting those that do not. Turnover is calculated as follows: Average Pounds Processed over the last three months** x 12 = Annual Turnover Rate Average Inventory over the last three months**
