SCS is TMW's patented process for "brushing" hot rolled black to a clean, rust inhibitive cold rolled surface. Wipe a clean napkin across P&O, temper pass and SCS sheets and compare (photo). SCS is clean, dry and ready to paint or fabricate. SCS also costs less, and is available in sheet or coil.

Its rust-inhibitive properties are amazing.  A sheet of HRB was SCS brushed on one side but not the other. Five years later look at the difference.
