SCS is a friend to the environment in several ways. By replacing P&O, it eliminates hazardous hydrochloric and sulphuric acid, as well as the solvents needed to remove the oil.

By replacing temper pass, SCS can lower the resources needed to prep the steel for painting. SCS may even lower the use of hazardous chemicals in pre-painting and galvanizing.

And what are SCS byproducts? Water, which is filtered and recirculated to the brushing process. Scale, which is nonhazardous, and can be disposed of in your scrap bin.
