With no surface oil, SCS will laser, plasma or torch cut with better precision and less smoke. With less smoke fogging the laser lens, fabcricators find that SCS laser cuts faster than P&O. And stretched SCS blanks are free of residual stress, so there's no ‘springback’ when cutting. That means less scrap.

It also means you can often cut two blanks at once. The blanks shown here were lasered together as a stack and dropped out identical and on spec. More>

Note: double stack lasering is not recommended for very small parts. Cutting near the sheet periphery helps ensure adequate heat dissipation.
