SCS In Coil Form Offers Benefits Besides The Remarkable SCS Surface
The SCS Coil Line entered service in July 2005, bringing proven SCS cost, quality and environmental advantages to mills, intermediary processors (picklers and galvanizers), plus service centers and toll processors.
The revolutionary SCS Coil Line imparts the beautiful SCS surface to hot roll black coils, while flattening the material and removing coil breaks. Coils processed on the system can go right to downstream slitting or multi-cut blanking lines, giving processors greater ‘value-added’ and better control of the steel value chain. SCS Coil Line is 90 ft. long, versus 500 ft. for a P&O Line.
The inaugural SCS Coil Line is a joint venture between TMW and Heidtman Steel Products, the largest privately held flat-rolled steel service center network in the U.S. (more)
